BENARTY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF MEETING ON THURSDAY 06 APRIL 2023
2 Chair Welcome
John Purdie took the Chair and welcomed all to the meeting noting that Chair Debbie Doyle had sent her apologies. Community Councillor Tom Kinnaird had said he would take the Chair should no one else offer but Tom Kinnaird had sent apologies and that he would be late to the meeting.

19 Declaration of Interests
Charlotte Howe declared an interest in a micro grant application. John Purdie declared an interest in the Brag project.
39 Exceptional Items
Chair introduced Brian Robertson-Fern from Brag Enterprises who outlined the Community Growing Project. Funding had been secured and the project was to integrate with other projects at Brag and provide opportunities for local people to receive training on allotments along with securing the project has long term sustainably. A letter of support was agreed.
5 Minutes of the Previous Meetings
The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and proposed as correct by Jack Colquhoun and seconded by Charlotte Howe.
6 Matters Arising
John Purdie noted that he had contacted Fife Council about the street cleaning in Crosshill but there had been no response yet.
7 Police Report
The police report was emailed and was circulated to Community Councillors.
40 Reports
Jack Colquhoun gave an update on the accounts and that the signatories should be changed soon. Lisa Reid told of grants received for Benarty Primary and applications for first aid courses, Sarah Ratcliffe updated on work going on at St Kenneth’s in relation to the temporary relocation of pupils from Lochgelly, including modular units. The Community Council also agreed to support the change of the no waiting at Hill Road/Ballingry Road, ask for supervision of traffic and for work schedules to be made public.

36 Micro Grants
Micro grants were awarded to Benarty Events Group, Arty Farty Pants Craft Club and, pending advice from Foundation Scotland, Lochgelly High.
