BENARTY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF MEETING ON THURSDAY 20 JUNE 2023

 2              Chair Welcome

Chair welcomed all to the meeting. Chair notified the meeting that the Agenda would be reorganised to allow the Local Place Plan to be discussed before Community Council business.

44           Local Place Plan
Chair thanked everyone for attending and asked everyone to introduce themselves. Discussion on a local place plan ensued with the following items emerging:

Noted the boundaries of the area. Look at increasing area for industrial use in Benarty with associated traffic control and air pollution monitoring. Tie up with the local Action Plan and the Fife Plan. Identify local shops for more community use. The issue of securing more parking at Lochore Meadows. Drainage issues and flooding in Kirktoun Park, Dallas Doyle Park, Navitie Park along with other areas in Benarty.

It was agreed to create a working group to continue with the Local place plan. Alex Laurenson offered training, others offered support and facilities and a few joined the working group.

No decelerations were made

5              Minutes of the Previous Meetings
The minutes were agreed as accurate after a minor amendment, and were proposed by Jack Colquhoun and seconded by John Purdie

6              Matters Arising

It was noted that the previous minutes were seconded by someone who wasn’t present, secretary to check notes and amend.

41           Newsletter

The adjusted Terms of Reference for the Newsletter Group were agreed.

Other items, payment of £100 for the Heritage Group calendar was agreed. The matter of no running water at Balbedie allotments was brought up, Secretary to contact Fife Council to see if running water can be arranged.
