BENARTY COMMUNITY COUNCIL
THURSDAY 2 JUNE 2022

2 Chair Welcome
Chair welcomed all to the meeting.
4 Apologies

19 Declaration of Interests
No declarations were made.
5 Minutes of the Previous Meetings
The minutes of the previous meeting were read. They were proposed as correct by Jack Colquhoun and seconded by Brian De Placito.
6 Matters Arising
John Purdie noted that there had been no response to several emails over a period of two months from Fife Council on the subjects of the Bells Project and the Community Council becoming a stakeholder at Lochore Meadows Country Park. Also that permission had been given to place forms for the Micro Grants at the Benarty Centre. The forms and website would be updated to reflect this.
7 Police Report
Chair read out the submitted report.
32 Schools Update
Sarah Jane had submitted her apologies and noted the following via email: “Schools are getting somewhat back to normal and we’ve been able to have shared learning with our children and attend sports day today. St Kenneth’s also won the local schools football tournament today to kick of the gala celebrations. Our head teacher, Kirsty O’Connor will try an attend our September meeting if possible and will be able to give you a better idea of all things St Kenneth related and answer any questions.”
9 Secretary Report
John Purdie noted there was not much, the main items being the planning for the SUDS at New Flockhouse, the commencement of work at Ballingry Road, the lodging of an application at Lochleven Road. The Community Council agreed to ask to become a consultee for the Lochleven Road planning application and seek opinions from the public. There was an application from the Events Group for donations. The Community Council agreed to the usual donations for the Gala and the Pipe Band but decided to increase the amount to £300 each
8 Treasurer Report
The Treasurer submitted a financial report, saying no changes on the account, although a cheque was outstanding, and still nothing from the bank re online banking. Jack Colquhoun hopes to contact the bank and clarify this by the next meeting.
10 Councilor Reports
No reports were submitted.
12 Any other Competent Business
Debbie Doyle raised the subject of Lochore institute and the need for all groups to get together. The Community Council agreed to go via the Forum in the first instance. The Community Council agreed to have an additional meeting to plan the way forward for the Community Council.
