Here are the Terms of Reference agreed by the Community Council for the Working Group dealing with the Local pace Plan. These are subject to amendment at any time by the Community Council
Committee/Working Group Name:
- Benarty Local Place Plan and Climate Action Town Working Group.
Type
- The Group will be an ad hoc Committee/Working Group taking on the specifics of a Local Place Plan and Climate Action Town for a period of six months from June 2023.
Purpose:
- The Committee/Working Group will investigate and develop a Local Place Plan and Climate Action Town ideas for Benarty and report back with recommendations to the Community Council.
Responsibilities:
- The Committee/Working Group will be responsible for detailing and outlining a Local Place Plan and for providing ideas for Climate Action Town. These outlines and ideas will be presented to Benarty Community Council.
Authority:
- The Committee/Working Group has the authority to enlist members for their specific expertise in Climate Action Towns and Local Place Plans
- The Committee/Working Group has the authority to detail Local Place Plan and Climate Action Town items for reporting back with specific ideas to Benarty Community Council.
Composition:
- Any Community Councillor can be a member of the Committee/Working Group.
- Non Community Councillors can be a member of the Committee/Working Group.
- Members of the public can be a member of the Committee/Working Group.
Meetings:
- The Committee/Working Group can meet as they see fit, minutes may be kept but a document of ideas and suggestions should be compiled for submission to the Community Council.
- Meeting procedures should be as per Community Council.
- A Quorum is 3.
Reporting:
- The Committee/Working Group reports back to Benarty Community Council, at a pace decided by the Committee/Working Group, bearing in mind the limited time available.
Deliverables:
- The Committee/Working Group must deliver final options by November 2023.
TOR Review:
- Benarty Community Council is responsible for the Terms of Reference and will review the Terms of Reference prior to the end of 2023.
