BENARTY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING ON THURSDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 2023
2 Chair Welcome
Chair welcomed all to the meeting.
Present: Debbie Doyle (Chair), Charlotte Howe, Lisa Reid, Sarah Ratcliffe, Stephen Scott, Tom Kinnaird, Jack Colquhoun, John Purdie,. Also Present, Michael O’Hare

No declarations were made.
The meeting was called as more than fifty percent of the current community councillors felt the need for a special meeting to discuss the proposed battery storage facility at the previous Kirkland Farm in Ballingry, behind the new build housing.
Discussions took place and it was decided to: –
Write to AAH Consulting to ask for an extension to the consultation period from 12th October to 9th
November.
Write to AAH Consulting with a list of questions, clarification of the questions to be agreed by Community
Councillors via email.
Write to NHS, Fife Council, the Fire Service and SEPA for their views of the proposal.
Write to Kingdom Housing to ask if they have any plans for a phase two of housing on the land behind the
current houses.
Invite a representative from the developer to a future community council meeting.
Chair thanked everyone and closed the meeting.
