Reports

It was noted that Benarty Primary had its inspection, and the results would be available soon. It was a very in-depth inspection, and there will be a summer disco coming up in the near future. Treasurer gave report on monthly statement, noting the litter picking money not used was returned. The latest newsletter was out and very popular, advertising had been renewed. John Purdie gave notes on the secretary report in the documentation; there had been no response from Bay Travel on our enquiry; the Energy Consents Unit Freedom of Information Request had come through and in the opinion of John Purdie there was an option to bypass the judicial review and make a complaint direct about the ministers, although details had to be confirmed. It was asked if John could continue this and he agreed. The Café at the Centre was beginning to take shape and volunteers were now running it. Printed copies of the Climate Action Town Report had been received and they were distributed along with copies of the latest edition of the newsletter. The recent walkabout was discussed and there was schedule being drawn up for the drains to be cleaned throughout the whole of Benarty. Some additional items had been passed on to the Officers and it was noted that Fife Council were acting on this matter.

Insurance

The March for Miners had completed all requirements expect for insurance. The Community Council agreed that for purposes of insurance the March can be a Community Council event, and there was a team within Fife Council who deals with Events exclusively and they had prepared all the paperwork required.

Open Forum, Any other Competent Business

Cllr Erskine had a walkabout with Fife Council Staff at the Cemetery. There was some money returned to a budget which would result in money being spent on playgrounds.

Chair thanked all and closed the public part of the meeting.
